We perform these trials to see if they can help prevent, find, or treat cancer.

Lung cancer occurs when cellsCellThe smallest unit of life; what all tissues are made up of inside the lung grow abnormally. As more cellsCellThe smallest unit of life; what all tissues are made up of grow, they start to form a tumorTumorA mass or growth that forms in the body that can be cancer (malignant) or not cancer (benign). Also called neoplasm and may spread to other areas in the body. There are two main types of lung cancer:

  • Non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC)Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)A type of lung cancer where the cancer cells look larger . This cancer starts in the lining of the lungs and grows slower than small cell lung cancer.; about 80% to 85%
